"Owing to my time being more fully occupied of late with Architectural work, I have given up all connection with the Cafe Bird Societies, except an annual subscription to the show in connection with the cottagers crysanthimum exhibition, held under the auspices of the Sports and Amusement Association, so I am afraid a small society, lately started, having taken the name of the Association of which I was Hon. Sec., are trespassing on your Ladyships well known kindness and generosity."
