Description:

Bequeaths to trustees and joint exors., his sons John and Thomas and son-in-law William Standen of Ticehurst, farmer, £400 to invest and with the interest pay w. Elizabeth £10 p.a. for life, and the remainder to the support of son William. On the death of Elizabeth all interest is to be paid to support the said William, and on his death capital is to be divided between John and Thomas. William is to be kept in christianlike manner and not put to hard labour, and trustees have power to use capital for the further support of William

 

Bequeaths to trustees for use of w. Elizabeth sufficient household furniture for one room for life, thereafter to be divided as before

 

Bequeaths £5 each to son-in-law, William Standen, for his trouble, and to daus. Hannah Joachim Sarah Standen, Ann Blackford and Fanny Reed

 

Bequeaths residue of personal estate to son Thomas and William Standen in trust to divide between John and Thomas, but of John's moiety £100 is to be retained and invested in trust to pay interest to John and after his decease towards the maintenance of John's children by former wife Sarah (née Moon), Sarah, Ann, John and William until of age, when the principal is to be divided between them
