1. Brother John Walton' Doctor of Theology, prior of the Carmelite house of Bristol under will of John Sutton' enrolled in register of wills at Bristol dated Tuesday after feast of St.Matthew the apostle 1415: rents and services of 8s [40p]p.a. paid by Roger Sully and William Brewer for garden in suburb a lez Barrez which they hold for lives from John Sutton' between garden of Thomas Candell' clerk, and garden of Thomas Wyke late of John Warmystre, extending from royal highway to another garden of Thomas Wyke, bequeathed to wife Johanna; in default of heirs to Thomas Janyns and heirs male; in default to John Shop and heirs male; in default to be sold by Prior of Carmelite brothers in Bristol and money put to pious uses, to the use of the house of Carmelites and to prayers for souls of John Sutton' and all faithful departed.

 

As no heirs, Prior for sum of money quitclaims to William Brewer als. Pownham, brewer of Bristol.
