Introduction

 

The Norwood Conservative Association seems to have developed from a loose grouping of local conservative clubs in the 1870s and 1880s. Norwood became a parliamentary seat in 1885; prior to this it had been a part of Surrey eastern division. In 1892 The Norwood Conservative Council was set up to coordinate the activities of the local clubs and associations.

 

There is a 20 year closure period on minutes and other confidential records.
