History: By Royal Warrant, 11 Aug 1881, the designation of the companies of the Army Service Corps employed on ordnance store duties was altered to 'The Ordnance Store Corps'. By Royal Warrant, 20 June 1896, the title became 'The Army Ordnance Corps'.
