Date: 1964-1969
History: The Department of Economic Affairs was established on 16 October 1964. It was responsible for long-term economic planning including implementation of the National Plan and the integration of the policies of economic growth in industry and the regions, taking over from the Treasury responsibility for economic affairs and planning. The department was dissolved in October 1969, with its responsibilities mainly being transferred back to the Treasury or to the Ministry of Technology.
