Date: 1988-1995
History: In 1988 the Department of Employment was renamed the Employment Department and took control of two new executive agencies, the Training Agency and Employment Service. In 1995 the Employment Department was abolished and its functions dispersed, with educational responsibilities passing to the Department for Education and Employment.
