Date: 1959-1967
History: Established on 21 October 1959 when the civil aviation functions of the Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation were transferred to the Ministry of Supply, which thereupon changed its title to the Ministry of Aviation. During 1966 civil aviation functions of this ministry were transferred in stages to the Board of Trade, and then the Ministry of Aviation was abolished on 15 February 1967 by the transfer of its remaining functions to the Ministry of Technology.
