History:	The West Gloucestershire Division was established in 1966 and covers the entire west of the county, taking in the former Forest of Dean and Tewkesbury Borough Divisions; the Gloucester Borough Division was added in 1974 and the Division was renamed the Gloucester Division. Maps showing the areas of the various divisions can be found in the published 'Handlist to the Contents of Gloucestershire Record Office', available in the public searchroom at Gloucestershire Archives.
