Major institutional holdings include the papers of the Royal Academy itself, the Society of Artists of Great Britain and the Graphic Society. Significant artists papers include material created by Ozias Humphry, Sir Joshua Reynolds, Thomas Gainsborough, James Northcote, Sir Thomas Lawrence, John Gibson, George Richmond, William Blake Richmond, Marion Spielmann and John Nash
