These transcripts of Venetian archives were used in the preparation of State Papers and Manuscripts relating to English Affairs, existing in the Archives and Collections of Venice, and in other Libraries of Northern Italy, published by HM Stationery Office, on behalf of the Public Record Office (PRO), in the series of 'Researches in Foreign Archives' between 1864 and 1947. A number of them were also used in connection with the Calendar of Letters and Papers, Foreign and Domestic, Henry VIII, published between 1864 and 1932. Many of Rawdon Brown's manuscripts are listed in the 46th Report of the Deputy Keeper of Public Records Appendix II, pp 337-381, together with an explanatory foreword.
