A collection of coroners' inquisitions mostly from counties in the Western assize circuit, but with a few from the Oxford circuit and from Nottinghamshire, which may have been handed in by the circuit clerk after King's Bench ceased regularly to receive inquisitions from clerks of assize in the mid eighteenth century. The vast majority of the inquisitions come from the period between about 1748 and 1770. |
