This book was written by Ken Fowler and Guy Stapleton (a copy is available in the Record Office library). They began work on the book in July 1999 and completed it in 2000. This collection consists of five folders of research notes, copy photographs and photocopies of personal papers of the individual soldiers killed.


Mr Fowler and Mr Stapleton tell the story of the 106 men who lived, worked or trained locally and whose names appear on the memorials in Moreton's High Street and church and in the RAF cemetery. These include 44 men who died in World War One, 8 men who died after their return, 7 men killed in World War Two, and 41 aircrew buried in the RAF cemetery at Moreton.


Details of the men include unit, rank, regimental number, awards, name and address of parents, date and place sent on active service, date and cause of death, and details about the place of commemoration.
