Description:

Reciting a feoffment whereby (a) granted to (b) all his lands in Icklesham and Guestling (as in RYE/136/85), this agreement witnesses that (b) are to hold these lands for a term of 16 years only, paying annually a rent of 100s. sterling. Power of re-entry on non-payment of rent. (b) agree to re-enfeoff the heirs of John de Grafherst.

 

Witnesses: John de Ore, John Cressy, John de Pidinton, William de Lyndhurst, Thomas Elys, John de Estwyk.

 

Seals, on tags: (i) red wax, Virgin and Child, with orator, legend defaced; (ii), red wax, defaced.
