Between THOMAS WEST of Brighton, banker, and the Rev. SPENCER RODNEY DRUMMOND of the same, clerk, (1) and the said THOMAS WEST (2), WILLIAM IZARD of B'ton, gent. (3), the Rev. WILLIAM DAY BEARD of Buildwas, co. Salop, clerk, GEORGE CHANTLER BEARD of Pisa in Italy, esq., CHARLES IZARD BEARD of Trin. Coll, Cambs, esq., and JULIANA SARAH BEARD of Buildwas aforesaid, spinster, (4) CHARLES BELLINGHAM of B'ton, gent.(5), the said WM. DAY BEARD, GEO. CHANTLER BEARD, CHAS. IZARD BEARD and JULIANA SARAH BEARD (6), the said WM. IZARD and CHAS. IZARD BEARD (7) and the said WILLIAM DAY BEARD and CATHERINE his wife (8)

 

Whereby after reciting the Will of William Izard decd. father of the said Wm. Izard dated 1 Sep.,1817 (See No. SAS-N/694)

 

Andreciting Mortgage of 10 May,1818 by Wm. Izard the father to William Borrer of the leasehold premises therein and in the present deed described and the copyholds (since enfranchised) of the freehold premises by the present deed conveyed for £2000 and interest

 

And reciting Mortgage of 28 Jan.,1819 to Joseph Holden (See No. SAS-N/698 and the Will of Jos. Holden dated 30 July,1819 with devise to son Joseph Douglas Holden and Joseph Lewin his executors of all his estate

 

And reciting Lease and Release of 22 and 23 June, 1820 (Nos. SAS-N/704 and 705 And Admission of Thos. West, 25 Oct.,1820 (No. SAS-N/707) and also deeds (Nos. SAS-N/755 and 706)

 

And that Elizabeth Izard married WM. Day Beard (since deceased), 30 Nov., 1820

 

And Enfranchisement by Thos. Read Kemp, lord of the manor of Brighton of the copyholds mortgaged to Wm. Borrer, 1 Jan.1823, with Further Mortgage to Borrer for £100, discharged 1 Jan.,1828

 

By deeds of 31 Dec.,1827 and 1 Jan.,1828 the leaseholds in Mortgage were assigned by Borrer to George Faithfull subject to redemption and the enfranchised copyholds were conveyed to Willam Day Beard the father

 

And reciting the Will of Wm. Day Beard the father dated 24 Oct.,1831. And that the legal estate in the freehold premises descended to and became vested in the said Wm. Day Beard, party to the deed, as eldest son and heir

 

Elizabeth Beard by her Will of 29 June, 1832 devised the said messuages, lands &c. to her brother the said Wm. Izard the son upon trust for all her children

 

George Chantler by his Will of 14 Dec.1821 appointed the said Wm. Izard the son and the testator's wife Elizabeth Chantler as his executors and died Jan.,1822. And the said Elizabeth Chantler afterwards married Samuel Smith

 

Elizabeth Beard left 5 children, namely, Edw. Henry Beard (since decd.), the said Wm. Day Beard the son, Geo. Chantler Beard, Juliana Sarah Beard, and Chas. Izard Beard

 

Edward Henry Beard by his Will of 27 Aug.,1846 gave his estate to his brothers and sister

 

And reciting that it had been agreed that the properties vested in the said Thomas West and Spencer Rodney Drummond should be transferred to the 4 children of Wm. Day Beard instead of being held

 

It was witnessed by the present deed that West and Drummond granted and Wm. Izard the son as to any estate in him confirmed and Catherine wife of Wm. Day Beard the son for releasing her dower released and conveyed and the said Wm. Day Beard as heir at law confirmed and all parties conveyed to the said Charles Bellingham All the freehold lands described in Release and Assignment of 23 June, 1820 and the Settlement of the same date

 

To hold to the usese of the 4 beneficiaries in undivided 4th parts

 

And covenant by West to surrender the copyholds held of the manor of Rusper als Old Shoreham To the use of Chas. Bellingham in trust

 

With Schedule of existing leases of the premises. Signatures of all parties
