(c) John Randall of Elsted, gent. and Judith his w. and Roger Ayling of Chithurst, yeo. (d) William Booker of Elsted, yeo. and William Marner of Elsted, husbandman and Mary, his w. and (e) Arthur Bettesworth of Chithurst, esq

 

Eight messuages, eight barns, eigh gardens, eight orchards, 317 a. of arable land, 30a. of meadow, 60a. of wood and common of pasture in Midhurst, Cocking, Hayshott, Elsted, Trotton, Chithurst, Iping and Stedham

 

To the following uses

 

(i) Part of the said lands: called Brassefeilds (18a.), Totties and Rolls (20a.), the w. half of the barn adjoining the dwelling house of Arthur Bettesworth, two skillings and gateroom adjoining the half barn, a parcel of pasture (½a.) lying between Chithurst churchyard and the river, the Stonefeild (6a.), a close called the Grove (2a.) in Chithurst in occ. of (e); to the uses to be expressed in an Indenture to be dated 12 September 1664 between (a) and (e)

 

(ii) Part of the said lands; a messuage, barn, stable, orchard and garden, three closes of land called the Vatchillers (10a.), a close called Bridgefeild (5a.) two closes called Iping feilds (8a.) adjoining Iping Brook, a parcel of coppice called Neitherwood feild (3a.), two meadows called Iping Meadows (5a.), parcel of meadow (½a.) adjoining Chithurst Bridge, with Common of pasture on Chithurst Green, in Chithurst, in occ. of (e); to the use of John Bettesworth

 

(iii) Part of the said lands; a messuage, orchard and garden, and two barns, 25a. of meadow, 27a. of arable or pasture land and 1a. of coppice, with common of pasture, called Hurstland in Iping in occ. of Richard Allwin

 

Part of the said lands; an orchard, barn, 30a. of arable and pasture land, and 3a. of coppice with common of pasture, in occ. of Richard Allsin

 

Part of the said lands; 3a. of meadow and 17a. of arable or pasture land called Cookes in Iping, Trotton and Chithurst, in occ. of Richard Allwin

 

All to the use of Richard Allwin

 

(iv) Part of the said lands; a house and garden (¾a.) situated near Rombolls hill in Midhurst in occ. of Francis Hills, freemason; to the use of John Randall

 

(v) Part of the said lands; a house, orchard and garden in Chithurst, in occ. of Richard Ayling, to the use of Richard Ayling

 

(vi) Part of the said lands; a close of arable land (5a.) called Sunwell feild with the barn thereon, a close called Bottome feild (5a.) a parcel of land called the Foure acres, a close called Phillips feild (5a.), three closes (5a.), a close of meadow (3a.) called Barnard house meade, a close of meadow (3a.) called Hampshire meade, common of pasture for 35 sheep on Hayshott down and common of pasture for a yardland upon Hayshott Heath, and right of digging chalk in the pits in Hayshott, late in occ. of William Booker, dec'd., father of William Booker

 

(vii) Part of the said lands; a messuage, barn, stable and garden and 50a. of land in Elsted called Upper Hanger alias Heather Deane alias Exland, a barn, and four closes of arable or pasture land (30a.) in Elsted, called Chalkrofts and little lands late in occ. of Richard Judman and Richard Raffall, a parcel of land (3a.) called Nestfeild, late in occ. of Bartholomew Bright, one field of arable land (3a.) called Chalkrofts, in Elsted, late in occ. of William Marner and Mary, his w., and a cottage and garden (½a.) in Elsted, lying between Phillis wood and the wood leading from Hookes ware gate towards Ellings deane; to the use of William Booker
