Administrative / biographical background:

This volume was deposited in August 1956 by Miss Marvin of Aislaby, it was transferred to the Library and Archives from the Shipping Wing in June 1981.

 

The Aid was built in Whitby in 1781 by Thomas Brodrick and owned by Christopher Richardson, William Richardson and Henry Stonehouse. She was rebuilt in 1817 and lost at Miramichi in 1834.
