Born in Belfast, Miss Nora Fisher worked in Belfast Municipal Museum (1929-1933), Liverpool Museum (1933-1937), and part time in the Geology Department of Liverpool University (1940-1956). She married in 1937 and became Mrs Nora Fisher McMillan. Mrs McMillan returned to Liverpool Museum in 1954, and continued to work there after her retirement. She is an authority on recent and Quaternary molluscs, as well as being an amateur botanist and naturalist. |
