Articles of Mgr William de Meridon' against [Geoffrey Giffard], bishop of Worcester. William was presented to the church of Longborough [Gloucestershire], which was vacant by the death of William de Tackele, the last rector, but the bishop refused to admit and institute him. William therefore appealed to the see of Canterbury and sought letters of appeal ('apostoli'), but the bishop refused to make them for him. No date. [Date: as in Adams and Donahue, cited below.] |
