Has found, in a poor vicarage near to Coventry, an early Oxford friend, Dr Burley, whom the writer had believed to be long since dead. ... By Lord Strafford, Burley had been made Dean of Emly, and Prebend of S. Patrick's, Dublin. But he was driven from Ireland. ... He is a worthy, learned man, & is now suitor to the Lord Lieutenant for license to retain the small income derivable from those dignities formerly conferrred upon him. [Not printed by Lister.] |
