William Henry Joseph of Stud Farm, Bishopstone, Seaford, Sussex, home address 100 Inkerman Street, Vauxhall, Birmingham, jockey; 38; at the Royal Sussex County Hospital; whilst exercising a horse over hurdles on the Downs at Southease, Sussex, on 22 Mar the horse failed to rise at a hurdle and went through it, throwing deceased to the ground and treading upon him, whereby he sustained a fracture of the spine causing paralysis in consequence of which he died from pneumonia; accidental death |
