Private patients were largely transferred to other West Riding asylums: Scalebor Park Asylum in Burley in Wharfedale or Menston Asylum in Otley near Leeds; of the others, numbers were sent home and others were transferred to Storthes Hall Asylum in Kirkburton near Huddersfield; Wakefield Asylum; Menston Asylum; Sheffield workhouse at Firvale; Hull City Asylum, Willerby; Bracebridge Asylum, Lincoln; Borough Mental Hospital, Humberstone, Leicester; Nottinghamshire County Asylum, Radcliffe on Trent; East Riding Asylum, Beverley; Leicester and Rutland Asylum and Kesteven Asylum, Sleaford. |
