Description:

Lease with warranty from Thomas de Merston' of Styveschale to William de Passenham, clerk, of all the lands and tenements of the grantor in Styveschal', with all his goods, corn and oats on the same; to hold to the said William for the term of his life, rendering on behalf of the grantor due and customary service to the chief lord of the fee.

 

Witnesses: Geoffrey de Whitele, William des Okes, Robert de Cloude, Roger le Heyr, Thomas le Warde and others.

 

Dated at Styveschal', Thursday next before the feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, 16 Edward III.

 

Seal on tag; circular, brown. Half length figure of the Virgin and Child. Legend: AVE MARIA GRACIA PL'A
