Details of PAR536
Reference: PAR536
Title: PARISH OF HOLLINGTON ST PETER BALDSLOW
Description:

The chapel of St Peter Baldslow was built on his own property by the owner of Beaulieu House in the parish of Hastings St Mary-in-the-Castle in about 1863. Following a boundary change in 1902 it came under the pastoral care of the parish of Hollington St John the Evangelist. The chapel of ease of St Peter and St Paul was built to replace it in 1970, and St Peter was pulled down shortly afterwards; the register continued to be used for baptisms at the chapel of the anglican convent of Holmhurst St Mary, [now (1994) the Community of the Holy Family, The Ridge, Hastings] until 1979.
