The donor's parents were Henry Hunter (born 1897) who did a variety of unskilled jobs, and his wife Jessie, nee Tomlinson (born 1900), a fancy machinist at Preston's Clothing works. Henry and Jessie married in August 1923 and their daughter Madge was born in November 1925.
