V Farm and lands called Dands and Bennetts Fields, and farm and lands purchased of Major Gratwick in Ashurst.

 

VI Farms and lands called Northlands, Charles Brooks, and Abbotts Mead in Ashurst.

 

VII Farm and lands called Grovelands.

 

VIII Farms and lands called Champions, Capons, Picknole, Dustins, and Court Fields in West Grinstead and Cowfold.

 

IX Farms, lands, tenements, and hereditaments in Boxgrove and Earth am.

 

X Farm and lands at West Burton and Bury.

 

XI Farm and lands at Compton.

 

XII Farm and lands at Westbourne.

 

XIII House in North Street, Chichester.

 

XIV Farm and lands late Billinghursts.

 

XV Farm and lands late Knotts.

 

By this will, the said property was devised in manner following.

 

I to John Crofts of Blackheath.

 

II to George Ward, second son of her uncle, Thomas Ward, deceased.

 

III to her cousins, Elizabeth Turner and Mary Hards, daughters of Edward Ward, deceased, as tenants in common.

 

IV and V to the said Elizabeth Turner during her life and thereafter to Mary Dennett, daughter of the said Elizabeth Turner.

 

VI to the said Mary Dennett during her life and thereafter to Ward Dennett, son of the said Mary Dennett.

 

VII to Mary Ward of Uckfield.

 

VIII to James Ward, son of the said Thomas Ward, deceased.

 

IX to her cousin Thomas Stamp, son of Joseph Stamp.

 

X to John Stamp, son of John Stamp, deceased.

 

XI to John Hardham, Ann, wife of Woodroff Drinkwater, and Cecilia Prout as tenants in common.

 

XII to the said Ann Drinkwater.

 

XIII to the said Cecilia Prout.

 

XIV to Mrs. Ann Smith, formerly called Ann Stamp.

 

XV to Barbara Hards.

 

Witnesses: Thomas Southward, Clement Uppertan, and Richard Fogden.
