Mr Hyde has "at last taken upon him the honours which the King was pleased some time since to grant him" of Lord Viscount Hyde of Kenilworth [in MS.: "Lord Hide, Viscount Killingworth" [afterwards, Earl of Rochester]], Baron of Wootton-Basset. Lord Macclesfield has made his peace [with the King]. Lord Howard of Escricke and Lord Shaftesbury are fallen quite out. It is believed that the [Whig] party "is very much broken, since the last Dissolution". ...
