To: The Local Government Act Office.

From: William Toy, Clerk to the Hurst Local Board, Park Parade, Ashton-under-Lyne, [Lancashire].

A letter and a newspaper clipping from The Reporter dated 30 April 1870. Toy forwards the byelaws of the Hurst Board [not included], amended to change the day of the Board's meeting, for the Home Secretary's confirmation. The newspaper clipping advertised the byelaws for public inspection to the residents of the Hurst District.
