Commissioner Sir John Kempthorne, Portsmouth. He will order the Purveyor to meet Mr. Fitch's brother at Beaulieu and will have the timber brought into the yard if he can hire vessels. As agreed the timber of Mr. Benson, Mr. Oxford and Mr. Clemance is being brought by the King's hoys. He has employed Zachariah Medbury to find timber, has received contract made with Mr. Fitch, and will send Mr. Furzer to survey Mr. Ellis' timber. The Holmes fireship has all her sails, the Diamond intends to sail today, the victuallers agent wants money to dispatch the Portland and Newcastle, he doubts all the cables for Tangier can be put aboard these ships. Sir John Narborough wanted three sets of careening blocks sent with blocks, but needs a supply of sheaves or pins or that blocks are sent from London completed. Player and Oxford will take price proferred. |
