He has not yet agreed with Mr. Hensloe about his timber, he has given Colonel Norton his contract to sign, his timber is at Pauls Grove, contrary winds have hindered the delivery of the remainder of the keel pieces, the Purveyor cannot find any more elm keel pieces to send to London and the keel pieces for the 2nd rate is almost fixed. Receipt of letter but he needs money to pay the carpenters and joiners their board wages, notes the advice about chips, he has given orders for the fixing of the Holmes fireship, supply of the Portland, Diamond and Newcastle, and is glad the Board has contracted with Mr. Fitch for timber at Beaulieu. |
