No.SAU/1042, 1704, is an exemplification of a Common Recovery of 20a. land in Westham. In 1704 a deed to lead the uses of a fine declared that the premises (i) and (ii) were to be to the use of Thomas Dray of St. Mary's in Romney Marsh, co. Kent, gent., and w. Parnell. In 1710 Thomas Dray mortgaged the premises (i) and (ii) to Mary Burton of Sandwich, co. Kent, wid., who in 1711 assigned the mortgage to Dame Sarah Barrett of Canterbury, co. Kent, wid. In 1712 Sir Francis Head of Canterbury, bart., John Lynch of Staple, co. Kent, ex'ors of Dame Sarah Barrett, assigned the mortgage to Stephen Bax of Faversham co. Kent. In 1720 Thomas Dray sold the premises (i) and (ii) to John Lynch of Groves in Staple, co. Kent, who in 1723 sold the premises (ii) only, to Thomas Fuller of Parkgate in Catsfield
