Description:

Gift with warranty from Roger Dayseye of Coventr' and Matilda his wife to Thomas de Mershton' of Styvechale of half an acre of land with appurtenances in Styvechale lying between the land once of Walter de Langeleye on both sides in breadth, and in length extending from the land once of Jordan ?Perporti as far as the pasture of the said Walter de Langeleye; to hold for ever of the chief lord of the fee.

 

Witnesses: Geoffrey de Whiteleye, Roger le Heyr, Thomas de Barwe, John de Fynham, William de Cloude and others.

 

Dated at Styvechale, Monday on the feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, 1 Edward III

 

Two circular, white seals on a split tag: i) defaced

 

ii) an 8 pointed star, barbed. Legend: S' ROGERI DAYSIE
