Description:

(1) Feoffment from Matilda who was wife of Ralph de Cromwell late lord of Tattershall to William de Cromwell her son and Margaret his wife of the manor of Brinkhill and lands in Brinkhill, Fulletby and Thorpe next Wainfleet, a rent paid by Richard Helwyse for lands in Saltfleetby, a messuage and 2 pieces of pasture called Great Grymmestandes and little Grymmestandes in Wynthorpe, a messuage and a piece of pasture in 'Grenewyk'.

 

Witnesses: John de Copuldyke, Thomas Dymmoke, knights, William de Skipwith, John de Thymelby, Thomas Toures, William Newcomen of Saltfleetby, John de Kyghlay of Salmonby.

 

Given at Tattershall Castle 20 Sept. 2 Henry IV (1401)

 

(2) Power of attorney to Hugh de Gondeby and John de Marum, chaplains, to deliver seisin as above.

 

(3) Feoffment from William Cromwell knight to Henry Rycheforth, knight, Thomas Hawly, knight, John Kyghley of Salmonby and Thomas Somercotes of Willingham of the manor of Driby with the advowson of the church and a chantry, the manor of Brinkhill, the manor of Tydd St. Mary, the manor of Baston and lands in Saltfleetby and Winthorpe.

 

Witnesses: Thomas Hawe, Richard his son, William Newcome of Saltfleetby, Henry Colson of Tydd St. Mary, William Wade of Trusthorpe.
