Description:

Statement of attorney of court of wards on behalf of ward Sir Anthony Ashley Cooper, grandson of Sir Anthony Ashley and son of John Cooper of Wimborne St. Giles.

 

Reciting above demise and descent of premises, and also mentioning manor of Rockborne (Southampton); complications as to ownership of manors of Damerham and Loaders, which lying intermixed with his other premises would be advantageous to the ward.

 

Late Sir Francis Ashley promised to reconvey them for ward but neither he, nor his widow and Denzill Holles and wife Dorothy have done so, but have detained deeds, and held courts, etc.; (mentions some tenants, and a barn built by Sir A. Ashley for £300).
