Richard Goodwin of Tankersley, Doctor in Divinity and Obadiah Lane of Longton, Staffs., gentleman and Anne his wife (daughter and Jonathan Swinden, late of Wortley Wiremill, deceased) to William Serjeantson of Wakefield esquire. Messuage called Hall Royd and closes called the Upper Hall Royd, the Thomas Royd, etc. in the township of Silkstone; and also the parcel of wood ground called Silkstone fall and the timber growing thereon and two messuages called Nabbs farm and New Mill farm in Silkstone, in the possession of Mathew Butterworth and John Whitwham, with all mills, stables, woods, etc. belonging; for £1000 paid to Goodwin. |
