Between (a) Sir James Peachey of West Dean, bart and the said Lady Georgia Carolina Peachey, his wife, (b) John Peachey of West Dean, esq., only son and heir of the said Sir James Peachey, and (c) Thomas Middleton of Lincolns Inn, Co. Middlesex, gentleman I Tithes of corn, grain, hay, etc. arising from lands in Shipley II Messuage, tenement, and farm called Southwater Farm in Horsham in occupation of John Etheridge III Messuage, tenement, and farm called Stedham Manor Farm in Stedham in occupation of Richard Ayling IV Messuage, tenement, and farm called Slathouse Farm in Stedham in occupation of John Weeks V Mill called Stedham Mill, and messuage or tenement used therewith, in Stedham in occupation of James Whitter VI Messuage, tenement, and farm called Heyshott Farm, in Heyshott in occupation of John Mellersh VII Messuage, tenement, and farm called Preston Manor Farm Binderton and West Dean in occupation of John Dearling VIII Messuage, tenement, and farm in Binderton in occupation of John Bayton IX Messuage, tenement, and farm called Monkton Farm in West Dean in occupation of William Green X Barn, with lands belonging thereto, in West Wittering in occupation of Robert Simmonds XI Piece of land in Sidlesham in occupation of Richard Luttman XII Messuage, tenement, and farm called Wiggenholt North Brooks in Wiggenholt in occupation of William Whitter XIII Pieces of meadow land called Broad Torr Meadows in Hardham in occupation of William Hill XIV Messuage, tenement, and farm called Muckhatch Farm in Thorpe, Co.Surrey in occupation of Samuel Harris XV Messuage, or tenement, with lands belonging thereto in Thorpe, Co.Surrey, in occupation of Mary Turner XVI Messuage, or tenement, with lands belonging, in Thorpe, Co.Surrey, in occupation of Richard Turner XVII All other messuages, tenements, farms, and lands appointed by the said Sir James Peachey or the said Lady Georgia Carolina Peachey for her life Recites: (i) 11 April 1771. Deed of Appointment by the said Sir James Peachey of the said property to the use of the said Lady Georgia Carolina Peachey from the time of his death for her jointure (ii) 9,10 August 1772. Settlement (by lease and release) between (a) the said Sir James Peachey and Lady Georgia Carolina his wife, (b) the said John Peachey, esq., and (c) Richard Wardroper of Midhurst, gentleman, and Thomas Middleton of Lincolns Inn, Co.Middlesex, gentleman, whereby certain property in Sussex, Berkshire, Hertfordshire, and London was charged with the annual rent charge of £900 payable to the said Lady Georgia Carolina Peachey for her jointure By this deed (a) agrees to levy a fine unto (c) of the said property to the intent that the life interest of the said Lady Georgia Carolina Peachey created by the said deed of appointment might be extinguished Witnesses: Richard Wardroper and Joshua James |
