By way of Settlement by JOHN LOCKE of Eastborne, yeoman, to ROBERT BOXALL of Bramshott, co. Southants, yoman, and Joane Locke of Eastborne, daughter of the said John Locke - in consideration of an intended marriage between the said Robert Boxall and the said Joane Locke an that the said Joane was to be indowed of and in all the lands, tenements &c. of the said Robert freed from all rents and incumbrances (except the freehold estate of Mergery Boxall, widow, his mother, for her life) and for a provision for Mercy the wife of the said John Locke - of All those two barns, stables, staules, gaterooms, lands, tenements &c. containing 120 acres called Chappell Lands, and Chappell meadow in Easborne and Midhurst in the tenure of the said John Locke And also all that chappell or tenement called the Chapell of St. John's Jerusalem with the outbuildings, shop, yard and garden belonging on the South side of the West streate of Midhurst adjoining to the tenement and garden &c. of William Stentt, E., S. and W., in the occupation of the said Wm. Stentt. To hold to the said Robert and Joane and the heirs of the said Joane to the uses in the said deed declared
