Deed to lead to Uses of a Fine: Sir Robert Markham to Sir Peter Warburton (Justice in Common Pleas), Sir William Thorold and Anthony Thorold (both as DD/P/8/71), and Peter Warburton of Arbye, co. Chester, esq.:-- manor, manor house, rectory and advowson of Cotham; Cotham Park; and all his property in Cotham, Stoke, Balderton, Haughton and Staunton and in Bennington, co. Lincs. --: to use of Sir R.M. for life, then to his sons John, Robert, Alexander and Philip, and his brothers Jarvis, John and Roger, successively in tail male. Provision for raising £200 each as portions for Mary, Katherine and Anne, daughters of Sir R.M. Power to Sir R.M. to lease:-- the Wroces, Lady Wong, the Butt, Garrett Close, Sheepecote Close, Greate Fenne Close, Sudimer Close, Hurst Close, Horse Pasture Close, Harmer Close, Oxe Pasture Close, Longe Allane, Windleforde Bridge Close and Hallow Meadowe --: for seven years to pay his debts of £1100 (subject to a reserved rent of £200 payable to the person having the next remainder of the property). John Markham to be disinherited if he marry without the consent of Sir R.M. or (after death of Sir R.M.) of the trustees, or if he attempt to alienate premises. Witn. as DD/P/8/71.
