Miss Gray was born in Altrincham in 1901. The family album belonged to a Mrs. Jessie Jackson nee Goulden who also came from Altrincham. She was a dressmaker who was widowed when she was about 31. Her husband, Frank Jackson ran a bicycle shop in Hale which went on to deal in motorbikes.
