James Sale of Hugenden, yeoman, and Ann his wife, and Thomas Spencer of Hugenden, gent., to Thomas Ansell of Icclesford, co. Herts, esq., and Humphrey Huntley of Hambledon, gent, to settle on the marriage of Spencer and Marry daughter of Sale, also party hereto, whose marriage portion is £100.

 

House at Widmer End where Sale lives, with the orchard and closes of meadow, pasture and wood, all known as Ryssells, 20a., in the occupation of Sale and William Fisher; a cottage lately built by Sale, in occupation of Thomas Furnell; closes of arable, meadow and pasture land in Hugenden: Great and Little Horse Fields, with a little meadow plot taken out of Little Horse Field; adj. Heath Field in occupation of Richard Nash, NW; a plot taken out of Great Heath Field called Barnabyes, adj. Barnabyes Orchard W; Cherry Tree Plot fromerly taken out of Heath Field; a close called Stoney Field, adj. Little Horse Field SW, and Heath Field NW; 2 closes called Pease Crofts, Moses Putnam's land S; in all 29ac., which formerly belonged to Tailefords Farm; with all tithes, in the occupation of Sale, Fisher and Furnell, and being Sale's estate.

 

The tithes of the Rectory of Hugenden, being Spencer's estate; taken from: - Woodcroft, Dell Field, Barne Plott, Costards Common Field and Ravenings Mean Pightle, 20a., being the property of John Fryar, in the occupation of Thomas Howlett. Great Triggs, Little Triggs, Further Durrants, Middle Durrants and Great Durrants and Home Close, 25a., property of Richard Terrey, purchased of Richard Widmer, gent., and occupied by Terrey. Sladmore Farm: Collins, Great and Little Shrubs, Long Close Common Field, Footway close, 3 closes next the house and orchard, 56a., property of Richard Widmer, in occupation of John Winter. 2 closes called Beamonts Common Field, 4a. property of Henry Pervold, and occupied by him. Old House Close, Great and Little Wycombe Fields, Barne Field, Pond Close, Vpper Pond Close, Little, Upper and Great Suttle Fields, 20a. property of Thomas Wheeler, occupied by Elizabeth Puttnam, wid., and Daniel her son. Mead plot parcel of Little Muttings, Ley Muttings and part of Little Muttings, Great Muttings, Further Muttings, Further Common Field, Upper Common Field, Lower Common Feild, Hither North Field, Ley. Long, and Dell, NorthFields, Spittle Croft, and Jesutts, 60a., freehold of John Gibbons, gent., (late William Russell's, gent), occupied by William Wright. New Orchard Meade, Plott at Four Ashes, Whitehill, Church Field and Stoney als. Barne Close, 20a., late George Russell's, deceased, occupied by Jonathan Widmer.

 

Settled on the Sales for life, then on the Spencers for life, and afterwards on their heirs. Remainder to Mary for life, and then to Spencer's right heirs.
