James Pashley of Hythe, beerbrewer, in a plea of trespass upon the case against Simon Drayner of Reading [Ebony] 'inholder' for non payment of 4 li. James Pashly as farmer and subcommissioner of Excise for beer and ale in Hythe and the liberty of Romney Marsh, let to Simon Drayner the excise duties on all beer and ale brewed by Simon Drayner between 24 June and 29 September 1661, for 40s. which has not been paid, along with other sums owing. Damages of 6 li. requested. Original letters of process, 31 March 1662. (27/2) Process, sicut alias, 21 April 1662. (27/3) Process, sicut plures, 22 May 1662. (27/4) Receipt for payment by Simon Drayner of money owed and costs of the suit, 29 May 1662
