William Guy of Chichester, surgeon, and Martha his wife, to William Peachey of Pagham, gent. and John Hasler of Aldingbourne, gent

 

Recites that Martha Guy is seized of the reversion expectant on the death of Richard Newland of Chichester, gent., of -

 

I. Five dwellinghouses and buildings erected by John Woods on ground formerly used as a timber yard by Henry Peckham, esq. and gardens, etc. belonging to the tenements and used by John Woods as a carpenter's yard, all in Little London in St. Andrew, Chichester, and late in occ. of James Tuff, John Woods, Robert Leggatt (blank) Dabbs and the poor of the parish of St. Andrew, then of Robert Leggatt, Edmund Pasmore, (blank) Mellish, John Norcott and Martha Covert, and now of John Bonny, (blank) Clarke, George Cooper, (blank) Castle and Richard Newland

 

II. Two tenements, buildings and gardens on the N. side of East Street in St. Andrew, Chichester, having a messuage formerly of John Miller, esq. and now of William Smith, esq. on the E., a tenement late of Henry Curtis and now of James Hack, jun. on the W., late in occ. of Charles Randol Covert and (blank) Eastgate, widow, and now of Richard Newland and (blank) Baker

 

III. Tenemnet with backside and garden late in occ. of William Barber and now of John Leggatt, and two cottages adjoining late in occ. of Richard Leggatt and (blank) Towner widow, and now of (blank) Steed and Richard Dawes

 

IV. Five cottages in a court near Property III formerly in occ. of (blank) Leach, widow, (blank) Smith, (blank) Downes, widow, Katherine Curtis, widow, and James Tuff, and now in occ. of (blank) Leggatt, William Langley, Joseph Jacobs, (blank) Forder and Henry Sowter

 

V. Tenement adjoining the said court formerly in occ. of John Leggatt and now of (blank) Miles, widow. Properties III, IV and V all in Little London in St. Andrew, Chichester

 

Recites that Martha Guy is also seized of the reversion expectant on the deaths of Richard Newland and John Covert of Chichester, esq., of-

 

VI. Tenement, garden, buildings and lands called Pace or Paces and lands formerly called Broomers but now called Tercrofts, Hurst and Rymens, and a marsh (in all 68a.)

 

VII. Ayling Marsh (20a.) on the W. side of Leythorne Park. Properties VI and VII are collectively called Aylings Farm, in North Mundham, late in occ. of Henry Bowyer, then of Nicholas Covert, then of John Heward, then of Thomas Barfoot and now of Charles Newland

 

To such uses as William and Martha Guy shall appoint
