INDENTURE.

 

Parties: John Parker of Bradkirke, Gentleman, one part, and Thomas Ryland of Pemberton, Yeoman, second son of Richard Rylande, of the other part.

 

Reciting demise by William, Earl of Derby (dated 10th March 11 and 47 Jac) to said John Parker, of lands, meadow etc, in Rayneford, sometime theretofore improved from the commons or waste, late in the occupation of Robert Chaydocke deceased, then in the occupation of the said John Parker, of the yearly rent of 3/4d and services, etc, for the life of the said John Parker, William Parker and Richard Parker, sons of the said John, and the survivor.

 

In consideration of "certen Compitente" sums of money, J. P. assigns to T. R. all the aforesaid lands etc for the term of lives aforesaid, subject to the rent etc payable to the said Earl.

 

Executed by John Parker.

 

Seal in very good condition. A fleur de lye with I. W. at foot.
