Register contains extracts from the Hundred Rolls, Patent and Close Rolls, and 'placite de cuo warrante' of Edward I, possibly compiled in an attempt to establish that Kimbolton had the status of a borough. Some 16th century documents are pasted into the book as samples of handwriting of the time of Henry VIII. Additionally contains a list of legal terms from Court Rolls with explanations of their origin and meaning. |
