Arrangement:

The Harris manuscripts were arranged in artificial bundles at some unknown date. In 1952, these records were calendared for the National Register of Archives when some attempt was made to reconstruct - on paper - the correct arrangement of the deeds. In 1955, such of the deeds which were then deposited in the West Sussex Record Office were arranged in the same order as the calendar, but numbered consecutively.
