William Stockil of Doncaster, Yorks., currier: John Spencer of Conisbrough Park, Conisbrough, Yorks., farmer, Joseph Addy of Arksey, Yorks., butcher: William Addeman of Rossington Bridge, Rossington, Yorks., victualler and Dorothy his wife: Thomas Addeman of Manchester, Lancs, currier' Richard Addeman of Rossington Bridge, farmer, Joseph Baker of Milford Lodge, near Sherburn, Yorks., farmer and Maria his wife, Ann Addeman of Rossington Bridge, spinster, Eliz. Addeman of the same place, spinster, Isaac Dunderdale of the Levels near Thorne, Yorks, farmer and Sarah, his wife: John Drabwell of Doncaster and Conisbrough merchant: Frederick Fisher, of Doncaster, gent. William Addeman, and his wife Dorothy will levy a fine in various lands in Arksey, to John Drabwell, to bar any dower claim which Dorothy may have in the lands.

 

(Reciting that by his will of 9th Nov. 1816, Richard Addeman, devised these lands in Arksey, to specified uses.

 

By indenture of mortgage, 1st Oct. 1830 Joseph Addy & John Spencer mortgaged the above lands to William Stockil for £400 for 500 years. The money was repaid, but the term of years was not surrendered. Addy and Spencer were unable to meet the payments of various legacies due Thomas, Richard and Sarah under their father's will. Thus he mortgaged the lands for £1,640, which, after the debts were paid left £80. To be held to specified uses.

 

Endorsement: Receipts re payment of the above mentioned legacies.
