SETTLEMENT (Copy) prior to MARRIAGE of John Bruen of Bruen Stapleford, esq., and Honor Winnington, between (1) the said John Bruen, (2) Sir Francis Winnington of Stanford Court, Worcs., knt., and the said Honor Winnington, spinster, one of his daughters, and (3) Thomas Cholmondeley of Vale Royal, esq., and Salwey Winnington of Stanford Court, esq., ---- MANOR of HUXLEY with appurtenances, and also the Capital Messuage or Mansion House called HUXLEY HALL with all its buildings, gardens, orchards, stables, fishings, waters, etc, and also the Townfield divided into 3 parts, the Lea Wood, The Horse Coppice, the Beancroft, the Colvercroft, the By Flatts, the Town Field Meadow and the Hough Field, and also the Dovecote and Pigeon house to the said messuage belonging, all the above being in or late in tenure of John Thomason and Joseph Bennett, and also 1 messuage or tenement with appurtenances and with its gardens, orchards and lands now or late in possession of John Dale together with parcels of land called the Joy Croft, the Dracoe, the Cockshoot, the Eddish, the Biskenwood, the two Mill Meadows and Jacks Meadow, and also those called the Gate Field, the Great Gorsty Field, the Little Gorsty Field, now or late in the possession or occupation of John Longford, and also a parcel of land called Great Southley now or late in possession of John Johnson, and also Eaton's Meadow in FOULK STAPLEFORD now or late in possession of John Longford, and also 2 water-corn-Mills called HUXLEY MILLS and also a parcel of land called the Brockholes Moore now or late in possession of Ellinor Dunsan, and also a parcel of land called the Cribb or Pingle now or late in possession of Ralfe Buckley, and also 1 tenement or cottage with its gardens and lands now or late in possession of John Johnson, and also 1 messuage or tenement with its appurtenances and all buildings, lands, tenements and hereditaments, etc., to the same belonging now or late in possession of Thomas Browne, all which said premises are in HUXLEY, HARGRAVE and FOULK STAPLEFORD, and also all J. Bruen's other freehold messuages, lands and hereditaments there (EXCEPT that messuage, tenement or farm with its lands and called the Brookehouse Farm and 1 messuage or tenement with its lands now or late in possession of Daniel Smith and parcels of land called Hollinhurst, the Long Croft, the Bickenfield and Little Southley and 1 tenement and croft called Gregory's House).
