Catalogue description ANNUAL REPORTS

There are two series of annual reports. The first consists of the annual reports of the Council, including reports of the Emigration Sub-Committee, the Medical Advisory Sub-Committee, the Provincial Sub-Committee, the Registration Sub-Committee and the Thrift and Savings Sub-Committee. The district committees of the C.O.S. published their own annual reports. These were collected together by Central Office and bound up in annual volumes together with a copy of the annual report of Council. Some copies were retained at Central Office while others were offered for sale. This second series was labelled with the year covered by the report before deposit in the Greater London Record Office.

Although most volumes have C.O.S. Library labels and catalogue marks, a few originally belonged to the Secretary, the Committee Room or Mr Pringle. Other duplicate copies originally belonged to the Hackney Committee and have been listed with the records of that committee
