Nature of request: Lop Burgoun de Burdeux requests letters to the present Seneschal of Gascony, or to the person who will be Seneschal, ordering him to install a suitable Mayor at Bayonne, who will preserve the king's profit and honour. He also asks that the Seneschal might be ordered to resolve the dispute between the Mayor and the Prevot and Castellan, so that each knows what he should reasonably do for his office, and to bring all the disputes between them to a peaceful conclusion. And he asks that the damages he has suffered at the hands of the Mayors of Bayonne might be put right.
