Heligoland (now Helgoland, Germany). 'Zee Kaart van't Helgoland op Verlangen der Hamburgsche Commercie Collegie opgenoomen in 't Jaar 1787 van J.T. Reinke & J.A. Lang [Chart of Heligoland made for the use of the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce ...'. Detailed reference notes on surveys and to lettered points. Scenic views of the coast. Scale: 9 cm to 0.25 German miles. Compass star and lines. Engraved by T A Pingeling. MS additions, comprising pencilled scale bars in yards and [English] miles. MS note, in faded, coloured ink: ' ... the views... though not very good give a tolerable idea of the appearance of the two Islands [i.e. Heligoland itself and neighbouring Sandy Island (Düne)]'; note written by Captain Charles Pasley, Royal Engineers. A label bearing the imprint of Jacob Hois, Copenhagen, is affixed to the map.
